Showcasing Taiwan–Guatemala Cooperation: 3 Mobile Bamboo Stands Supporting Holy Week in Antigua
The Taiwan Technical Mission, in partnership with the Municipality of Antigua Guatemala, set up three mobile bamboo stands during Holy Week. Designed by the Bamboo Transformation and Research Center, these units provided tourist services, ticket sales, and rest areas. They show the cooperation between Taiwan and Guatemala and respect for local culture.
Taiwan Supports Guatemalan Bamboo Development at the 18th New World Crafts Fair
Ambassador Vivia Chang, along with experts from the Bamboo Industry Sustainable Development Project, took part in the 18th edition of New World Crafts, organized by AGEXPORT. During the event, they showcased bamboo products and participated in the opening ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside key Guatemalan officials. The fair highlights Guatemala’s rich creativity and cultural heritage while promoting international business exchange. Taiwan’s involvement reflects its continued support for sustainable development and local craftsmanship.
The project is aimed at promoting improvements in agricultural education to strengthen the academic and technical knowledge of 268 students at the basic and diversified level, especially in the area of vegetable production under protected conditions.
